Case Closure is a group of arbitration and mediation professionals based in New York City, offering dispute resolution services across commercial, employment, and other civil matters. The project involved rebuilding their existing website as a custom WordPress installation, replacing a legacy site built on Microsoft’s Active Server Pages (ASP) technology.
The platform migration from ASP to WordPress required mapping the legacy site’s content and functionality to the WordPress content model. ASP is a server-side scripting framework that predates modern content management systems, and sites built on it tend to involve tightly coupled page logic and content that needs to be carefully separated and restructured during migration to a CMS. The conversion involved reproducing the site’s informational content in WordPress’s page and post structure while modernizing the underlying architecture.
The rebuilt WordPress site included a custom theme tailored to the professional services context — arbitration and mediation firms serve a business and legal audience where the site’s tone, typography, and layout need to convey professional credibility.
Search engine optimization was addressed as part of the project, covering on-page factors including URL structure, metadata, heading hierarchy, and the technical SEO baseline that WordPress plugins like Yoast provide. For a professional services firm where potential clients may search for arbitration or mediation services in a specific jurisdiction, search visibility has a direct connection to business development.
