PMC One Water is a specific residential property in PMC Property Group's portfolio, positioned as a waterfront residential development. The project was a development engagement while consulting with Eastern Standard, focused on front-end work for the property's dedicated website.
The majority of tasks involved front-end design work using CSS, Sass, and JavaScript. Sass provided the preprocessor workflow for organizing and maintaining the stylesheet architecture — particularly useful for a property marketing site where consistent visual treatment across multiple page types, unit listings, and amenity sections needs to be managed efficiently in the CSS layer.
The technically distinctive component of the project was a custom slideshow modal for virtual 3D tours of units within the property. Virtual property tours — particularly 3D walkthrough experiences — were increasingly relevant for residential properties during this period, allowing prospective tenants or buyers to explore units remotely before visiting in person. The modal integrated with a third-party 3D tour API, embedding the virtual tour experience within an overlay on the property's site rather than redirecting users to an external platform.
Integrating a third-party virtual tour API into a custom modal requires managing the API authentication, iframe or embed configuration, and the open/close behavior of the overlay across different browsers and device sizes. For a property marketing site where the virtual tour is a central feature, the implementation needed to be reliable and visually consistent with the broader site design. The CSS, Sass, and JavaScript work for the project was coordinated within Eastern Standard's development workflow for the PMC account.
