The Temple Health Lung Center is a pulmonary specialty program within the Temple University Health System, providing clinical care for lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and thoracic surgery. The project was an ongoing development engagement for the Lung Center's Drupal site, completed while consulting with Eastern Standard.
The engagement followed a support model — development tasks addressed the Lung Center's evolving needs on an ongoing basis rather than as a single defined deliverable. Specialty hospital sites within a health system require regular attention as clinical programs develop, physician rosters change, and marketing campaigns drive the need for new content sections or promotional pages.
Most tasks focused on front-end work within the existing Drupal theme: layout changes, component updates, and style corrections ensuring consistent rendering across browsers and devices. Functional fixes to the Drupal back end addressed CMS behavior, content type configuration, or view output adjustments as the site's content needs evolved.
The Lung Center was one of several Temple Health specialty sites developed through the Eastern Standard relationship, alongside the Heart and Vascular Institute, Temple ReadyCare, Fox Chase Cancer Center, the Find a Doctor platform, and the Flex Landing system. The shared Drupal architecture across these properties meant that development work on one site could draw on established familiarity with the conventions used across the broader Temple Health web portfolio.
