Temple ReadyCare is an urgent care and walk-in clinic network within the Temple University Health System, operating multiple locations across the Philadelphia region. The project involved developing a custom Drupal theme for the ReadyCare site, completed while consulting with Eastern Standard.
The site served both a marketing function — communicating ReadyCare's services and differentiating it within the urgent care market — and a practical function, helping patients locate the nearest clinic and understand what services are available at each location. These purposes shaped the content architecture and the features the theme needed to support.
Custom content types were developed for locations, services, gallery photos, and related content categories. Separate content types gave the ReadyCare editorial team purpose-built administrative interfaces for each data category, with the Drupal view system rendering each type in the appropriate front-end template. Location data, service descriptions, and photography could be managed and updated through Drupal's admin without requiring code changes.
Location pages integrated with the Google Maps API to display location-specific information within a map popover — giving patients geographic context for each ReadyCare clinic alongside the address, hours, and service details. For a multi-location urgent care network, combining a structured location content type with map integration creates a practical tool for patients deciding which clinic to visit based on proximity and available services.
The ReadyCare project was part of the broader Temple Health web portfolio developed through the Eastern Standard consulting relationship, which spanned several Temple Health specialty properties including the Heart and Vascular Institute, the Lung Center, Fox Chase Cancer Center, and the Find a Doctor platform.
