Sample project for a fictional business, made to show what you get. Fable & Foam Brewing is not a real company.
Fable & Foam's staff answered the same questions every day: opening hours, dogs, the tap list, what happens if it rains on a garden party. Most chatbots would answer those, but they also make things up when they don't know, which is the last thing a small business wants on its website.
Try the sample chatbot (opens in a new tab): ask it anything. Nothing you type leaves your browser.
Only approved answers
- An answer bank the business approves. We draft the answers from the business's website and brochures, and the business approves or edits each one. The chatbot shows them word for word.
- No guessing. The AI's only job is to pick which approved answer fits the question. If none does, the visitor gets the business's contact details and a person takes it from there. Asking it to "ignore its instructions" gets the same polite hand-off.
- No visitor details collected. The chatbot never asks for names, emails or phone numbers.
- Kept current. Each month we re-check the website and flag any answer whose source page changed, and the business gets a list of the most-asked questions it couldn't answer, to decide what to add.
The business's own AI account
The chatbot runs on the business's own AI account, so it pays the AI provider directly, and ending the service is as simple as switching off its key. Usage is capped per day and per month, with a limit per visitor, so nobody can run up the bill.
What the sandbox shows
- The chat, with sample questions to try.
- Behind the scenes: each check the question passes, which approved answers came closest, and why the chatbot answered or handed off.
- Caps: simulate the business reaching its daily or monthly limit, or ask more than ten questions in ten minutes.
- The approved answers: the full list the chatbot can choose from.
In the sandbox a simple keyword matcher stands in for the AI, so it runs offline and costs nothing; a client build uses an AI model to pick the answer. The answer bank, the hand-off and the caps are the real logic.
