Sample project for a fictional business, made to show what you get. Fable & Foam Brewing is not a real company.
Before the new website, we audited Fable & Foam's old one: a 2019 template with six pages, a menu posted as a PDF and nothing about private events, which earn the brewery most of its money. The report below is the sample deliverable, in the same format a client gets.
Read the sample report or download it as a PDF (5 pages). You can also see the site we audited.
What the audit found
14 issues, 4 of them high impact. The top of the fix list:
- No page for private events. None of the six pages mentions events in a title or main heading; the only mention is one sentence on the Gallery page.
- Not built for phones. No page has a mobile viewport, and the layout is a fixed 1,000 pixels wide.
- Very heavy images. Three photos add up to 6 MB; the home page weighs 3.3 MB.
- The menu is only a PDF, from 2019, so neither search engines nor AI assistants can read the beer list.
The rest cover duplicate page titles, missing descriptions, headings, a broken link, alt text, structured data, the sitemap and smaller items, each with its evidence and a fix.
What the Do it yourself tier includes
- A written report of every issue found on up to 200 pages, ranked by how much fixing it is likely to help.
- A prioritized fix list your team, or any developer, can work through in order.
- A short walkthrough of the findings.
If you'd rather not make the fixes yourself, we quote them as a fixed-fee add-on from the list. For Fable & Foam, the fixes became the new website.
How we checked
We crawled every page of the site and recorded titles, descriptions, headings, images, links, structured data, the sitemap and robots.txt, then ranked each issue by likely impact. Every finding in the sample comes from that crawl. The search-visibility table is labelled as illustrative, since a fictional business has no real search data; on a client audit it comes from Ahrefs and Google Search Console.
